Across all levels of business globally today, from entrepreneurs to large scale enterprises, there is always a need for remote teams, or freelancers as companies look to scale in a cost effective manner. The problem however with using online freelance platforms is that there is no control of quality and it is always a big difficulty for freelancers to retrieve their funds earned from these platforms. As a result, clients are at perpetual risk of not getting quality for money spent and freelancers are always exploited as they have to accept unfair charges to their when they try to retrieve funds.
Hirefreehands solves both the problem of remittance & quality by implementing proprietary solutions like blockchain based jury recruitment, price regulation systems and smart contract escrow for payment transfer.
Before Hirefreehands, the founding team worked together and gained extensive experience across lead roles product development, creative technology, technical infrastructure and most importantly, talent team management.

Why do you think you should win this category?
Our goal with Hirefreehands was to create a simple & seamless platform that promotes inclusion for the tens of thousands of skilled African digital freelancers, who have gained world class talent but lack access to opportunity. We developed a centralized freelancer recruitment procedure that ensured only the best hands are allowed to work on the platform.
Also, developed a proprietary price regulation algorithm that removes the need for negotiation between client and freehands. This feature not only simplifies end-user experience, but ensures Quality of Service is the primary deciding factor in hiring of freelancers. Also, with this algorithm, we were able to regulate prices while keeping them affordable for clients on one hand, and worth the value for freelancers on the other.
