At the inaugural Global RemTECH Awards in 2017 we had 36 entrants admitted into competition, 11 awards were given and 10 Mentions were presented by the Judges. Check the Book we distributed and the video of the results. Check the video of the GFRID 2018 invitation by the Central Bank of Malaysia.
The 2018 RemTECH Awards is open to contestants from all over the world. Entries received will be admitted by the organizers, posted in this website and they will start collecting votes from the public on February 1st. The entry that collects more votes by April 17th will win the “popularity” award which measures mostly the marketing, social media & networking capability of the contestant and gives us an idea of the characteristics that colleagues of the industry find attractive. A judging panel of industry colleagues will select the nominated entries by April 17 and the winners as well as the mentions will be announced at the GFRID2018. We will inform the winners/mentionees previously, hoping they can join us in Kuala Lumpur at the Award Ceremony. The RemTECH Awards are developed by IMTC Conferences in partnership with Mohr World Consulting to showcase the most innovative and outstanding technological ideas designed to improve remittance services worldwide. We are admitting companies, groups, collectives or individuals that are developing ground-breaking solutions that contribute to development, benefit the market ecosystem, improve transparency, speed, cost and reliability for the companies and end-users that send and receive remittances every day. The RemTECH Awards are aligned with the GFRID2018 vision & objectives, committed to raising awareness about the power of innovation, facilitating dialogue between entrepreneurs, international organizations and governments to promote collaboration on the contribution of migrant remittances to development by building partnerships to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). We are also very interested in the power of Distributed Ledger Technologies (DLT) – Blockchain and Virtual Currencies & Tokens, to democratize the remittance industry.
